Right, where to start this off? As this is ICL's first blog, guess we'd better say hello,

We're a small family firm based in NE Scotland,

Our main protagonist is Neil, who has spent most of his (adult?) life in the middle of the North Sea (27 years with the same company - but says he's all better now!)

We are currently trying to get ourselves known and established in the world of bespoke Leadwork, with garden planters, pots and wall mounted lead planter/pot creations, but with a not so secret leaning towards the artistic use of molten lead in making and casting lead plaques, signs and the like.

Our Rammstein fixation also stems from (yes you guessed it) Neil!

From first having seen the video for "Ich will" on a Norwegian tv channel on a boat

(he tells us that watching the video being sung in German with Norwegian subtitles and having neither language to hand was absolutely no hinderance to enjoying it at all!)

to having Rosenrot as the pretty much continual background soundtrack to the renovation of his house, the German metal merchants have had a big influence on shaping ICL,

We are sure a lot of you guys will have picked up on the Till and Sharleen references in our collections,

The metal plaques we have made are also a homage to them, as well as an attempt to showcase our capabilities in creating various styles and finishes,

We are currently working on techniques in creating our castings with built in fixings to make fitting the piece easier, if it's onto a wooden backing, the bumper of your car or any other place give us a shout - we're always happy to chat.

We have purposely set this blog so you can add comments without us reviewing them first, so please feel free to get involved and let us know what's on your mind,
